- We only use your details to handle your enquiry and give you advice.
- We never sell your data, and we don’t pass it to lead buyers or marketing lists.
- Marketing is strictly opt-in, and you can opt out at any time.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, whenever you like.

What we collect
When you use the enquiry form on our home page: what you’d like to talk about, your relationship status, whether you have children or dependants, whether you own your home, anything you choose to tell us in the notes box, your name, phone number, email address and how you’d like us to get back to you.
When you use the contact form: your name, email address, phone number, the topic and your message.
Technical data: your IP address, used briefly for security and to stop abuse. Your answers to the enquiry form are also saved in your own browser’s storage, on your device, so you can pick up where you left off. That copy never leaves your device by itself, and nothing is sent to us until you press “Send my enquiry”.
How we use it
- To handle your enquiry and contact you about it, using the consent you give when you send it.
- To give you advice if you decide to go ahead.
- To keep the service secure (rate-limiting, abuse prevention). This is in our legitimate interest.
- Occasional reminders to review your will and cover, only if you tick the optional box. You can opt out at any time.
We do not sell your data or pass it to marketing lists.
Who we share it with
- Our team at Craddock Financial Solutions Ltd, who handle your enquiry.
- CMME Mortgages and Protection Limited, our regulatory network, where needed for compliance oversight of mortgage and protection advice.
- Service providers who run the technology for us: our website hosting provider, our email provider and, if we use one, a workflow tool that moves enquiries into our diary or CRM. They process data on our instructions only.
- Insurers, lenders or a will-writing partner, only later and only with your agreement, if you choose to go ahead.
If any provider processes data outside the UK, transfers are protected by UK-approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don’t go further: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Clients: for as long as we act for you, then in line with legal and FCA record-keeping requirements (typically up to 6 years after our relationship ends; longer for some protection records).
Cookies & tracking
The site itself sets no cookies and runs no advertising or analytics tags. If we ever add them, we’ll ask for your consent first with a banner, and update this page.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the data we hold about you (a “subject access request”),
- correct anything that’s wrong,
- delete your data,
- stop using it for marketing (or anything based on legitimate interests),
- restrict how we use it, or give it to you in a portable format.
Just email info@craddockfinancialsolutions.co.uk. We’ll respond within one month. Withdrawing consent doesn’t affect anything done before you withdrew it.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
